Bird Watching in India

Home » North India » Wildlife » Birds Watching
Red breasted ParakeetBird Watching is the art, sport and fun of finding birds and identifying them. Bird watching is both fun and educational. A bird watcher can be called an Ornithologist. A large number of bird species, resident as well as migrant are there in India and there are many parks in the country that have got a rich blend of native as well as migrant species of birds. Summer, winter- all season is best for bird watching.Birds usually prefer wet lands and searching them in such areas in summer would be apt. Winter is also a best time as thousands of birds migrate to the country at that time for a comfortable stay.
The famous bird watching sites in India are Keoladeo National Park, Overa Wildlife Sanctuary, Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary and Sultanpur National Park.
