Indian Food Habits

Home » Food Habits
The variety in Indian food is not just contributed by a particular state, but also by its constituent communities. An affluent and educated Indian's home is very close to a western one in dining patterns. However, in a traditional middle-class home, people sit in a cross-legged, yogic position on the floor and eat with the right hand from a banana leaf. One's footwear is kept outside the door of the house.
India offers a wide range of vegetarian meals comprising Rice, Bread, Dhal (Pulses), Vegetables, Curd, Pickle & other add-ons including sweets, as well as numerous non-vegetarian dishes.
