Indian Cuisine

Home » Cuisine
The invaders and immigrants have contributed to the present day's Indian Dishes. North Indian and South Indian are two major divisions notable. They are largely based on vegetables prepared in healthy way. Wheat based Chappatis and Rotis are favoured in the North; in the south rice based porridges, iddlis(parboiled lump of rice and urad dal with salt), dosas (fried paste of rice and urad dal prepared spreading this over a pan) with coconut condiments are important. Tandoori chicken is also relished in India.
